TIGF

Created in 2005, TIGF (Transport et infrastructures Gaz France) with head office at Pau, is a company specialized in the transport and storage of natural gas in France. The company manages the balancing zone of the gas transport network of the South West

Challenge

The existing Vehicle Access Control solution no longer corresponds to the client’s needs. They needed a system that was reliable, evolving and conform to SEVESO 2 regulation.

“Our access control system no longer fulfilled our needs. We needed a robust and well-known system for our two main sites (Volta at Pau, then under construction, and Lussagnet). We are also SEVESO site gas operators and are subject to strict regulation in terms of access control.”

Solution

The latest version of the multi-sites Protecsys 2 Suite (P2S) solution of the company Horoquartz was selected. The access control module of this P2 Access controls the access according to the access depending on the established rights and rules, improve the reliability of counting of persons present on the site in case of alert, manage car-park entries more easily with the system of identification of vehicle license plate: 6 rising barriers installed on-site are equipped with SURVISION license plate recognition cameras. It offers perfect tracking in the event of an incident thanks to its advanced reporting functions (SEVESO requirements).

Results

“Today some ten TIGF sites are equipped with P2S. 500 persons use it daily. The application and the materials are reliable and robust. Safety is a critical point for TIGF and this strategic project was carried out successfully. I am very satisfied with the chosen solution.” concludes Aurélien Bardy
